Meet Sara

Sara is a Certified Sound Healer, Reiki Practitioner and Licensed Social Worker deeply committed to supporting individuals to explore the restorative practice of vibrational therapy in a safe space of trauma-informed, inclusive care.

Sara received her MSW from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013 and has over 15 years of experience in trauma-informed clinical social work and specializations working with adolescents, immigrant communities and survivors of domestic violence. Seeking to combine her social work practice with mindfulness and somatic healing, Sara began her journey as a Sound Healer in 2021.

Sara is trained in a variety of sound healing instruments and modalities. Looking to deepen her practice with the Himalayan Bowls, Sara pursued training in bodywork and vibrational therapy using Himalayan Bowls in 2024.

Sara offers trauma-sensitive group, 1:1 and couples sessions to support folks on their journeys of self-discovery, trauma recovery, stress and anxiety management, and building a deeper connection with the body. Sara is passionate about cultivating spaces of wellness that encourage everyone to show up exactly as they are.

Whether offering public classes, private sessions or organizational events, Sara holds space with empathic connection, gentleness and acceptance.

Since 2021, Sara has facilitated hundreds of group and 1:1 sound healings reaching more than 2,700 people. She looks forward to sharing these transformative practices with anyone called to experience integrative sound and energy healing.

At Undercurrent Sound Healing, our mission is to honor and uplift the Indigenous roots of sound and energy healing by creating inclusive, respectful, and accessible spaces where everyone can experience the transformative power of somatic healing. We are committed to cultural integrity, continuous learning, healing justice, and community-centered wellness that reconnects us to ourselves and each other as we navigate a demanding world.

1. Accessibility & Inclusion

Healing must be accessible to all. Undercurrent actively works to reduce financial, physical, cultural, and emotional barriers to sound and energy healing through free and sliding-scale offerings, community partnerships, and inclusive programming.

Every healing path is a journey. Through trauma-informed intentional listening, we meet everyone where they are. By staying present, flexible, and attuned, we adapt our healing practices to support personal rhythms, needs, and intentions.

Training

    • PA Licensed Social Worker

    • 40-Hour Training for Domestic Violence Advocates Certification, Women Against Abuse

    • Becoming an Empathic Leader Certification, ConversABLE

  • Atma Buti ® Sound Healing Practitioner (in training):

    • Completed Level I, II, III trainings with Master Teacher Suren Shrestha (56 hours of training and hands-on practice with vibrational healing protocols)

    • 200 practicum hours and certification in process (anticipated completion March 2026)

    • Atma Buti (Soul Medicine) Sound & Vibrational School is regulated by State of Colorado Dept. of Education and board approved by National Certification Board for Therapeutic Bodywork (NCBTMB)

  • Completed Sage Academy of Sound 100-Hour Sound Healing Certification in:

    • Fundamental Principles of Sound Healing: Ancient Shamanic Tradition to New Science & Tuning Fork Studies with Dr. John Beaulieu
